Habitat GSF is now accepting applications for our summer HVAC, Electrical, and Carpentry internships. Applications will be accepted from May 1 to May 31. Please sign up below to retreive our application packet.
How to Sign Up for a Build Day
Individual Volunteers: To sign up for a volunteer day, please click on an event below to get started.
Volunteer Groups/Teams: Want to schedule a team building day for your company? A faith build for your congregation? Or a day of service for your classmates? Please contact Maya Varian at mvarian@habitatgsf.org or at 415-625-1022.
Sponsorships: A sponsorship is required only for corporate groups who want to build on a Saturday only. The sponsorship will help offset the cost of construction materials, which lowers the cost of the homes for our partner families.
Age Restriction: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on the construction site and at least 18 to work on roofs or scaffolding. All minors must arrive with the minor waiver form signed by their parent/guardian. Please click here to get the form.
HabitatGSF's Current Volunteer Projects:
7555 Mission St., Daly City - 36 condominiums! Work began in February 2011 and is expected to be completed in early 2013. Construction volunteers are needed Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. For safety reasons, volunteers who arrive after 9am will be turned away.
2261 Poplar Avenue, East Palo Alto - As part of the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP), Habitat GSF has launched a program that rehabilitates foreclosed homes in an effort to address this country's current foreclosure crisis. Volunteers are needed to renovate this single family home Thursday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Hilltop Park, San Francisco- As part of its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, Habitat GSF is partnering with local non-profit organizations and the SF Department of Recreation and Parks to perform a series of Park Beautification Days at Hilltop Park in the Bayview neighborhood. Volunteers will be needed every Saturday, April 14 to May 26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to garden, paint, and remove debris to restore this hidden San Francisco gem.
ReStore: Habitat for Humanity GSF is developing it's very first ReStore! The ReStore is a volunteer-driven home improvement store that accepts and resells new and re-useable building materials, appliances, hardware, and furniture to the public at a fraction of the normal retail price. Volunteers are currently needed every Monday and Friday to help organize the storage units in Redwood City or pick up donations.

Upcoming Habitat GSF Volunteer Projects
Redwood City Women's Club- Starting on June 21, volunteers will be needed to help make minor repairs and paint this historic clubhouse in Redwood City, which also celebrated its 100th birthday in October 2011.
