We invite you to volunteer with Habitat on our sites in San Francisco, Marin and the Penninsula. No construction experience is necessary, and volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. We post opportunities three weeks in advance, and we update the calendar weekly.

Age Restriction You must be at least 16 years old to work on the construction site and at least 18 to work on roofs or scaffolding. All minors must arrive with two waivers signed by their parent/guardian: Waiver 1 Waiver 2

Waitlist Groups often lower their numbers or individuals cancel. When this happens the individuals on the waitlist get moved up to an open space.

CANCEL 24 hours before the build day if you will not be able attend. By cancelling, you will allow another volunteer to fill your place and our crew leaders will be able to plan for the correct number of volunteers. 

HabitatGSF's Current Projects:

7555 Mission St., Daly City - 36 brand new condominiums! Work began in February 2011 and is expected to be completed in December 2012.  Construction volunteers are needed Wednesday thru Saturday, 8:30am – 4:15pm.  For safety reasons, volunteers who arrive after 9am will be turned away. 

Menlo Park, San Mateo County - Neighborhood Revitalization Program HabitatGSF has launched a program that rehabilitates foreclosed homes in an effort to address this country's current foreclosure crisis.  

Novato, Marin County - Neighborhood Revitalization Program We hope to build in Marin again soon, so check back for availability!

Want to be a "Regular?" Make an ongoing commitment to continue volunteering with us on site!  As you become more experienced, you can even lead crews of day volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a Regular, talk to your construction manager for more details.?
